Seeing the future: My first hours with Google Glass
Tue Apr 30, 2013
We're already on camera in public most of the time with store cameras, street cameras, etc. Cell phones can record video while it's on your lap or in your hand without seeming to point it. eBay sells micro keychain SD card video recorders the size of a regular car remote for under $40. When Mit Romn …
Explosions rock finish of Boston Marathon; 3 killed and scores injured
Mon Apr 15, 2013
Wow, there seems to already be a bunch of posts making jokes when we people may have been hurt. Cracks like explosives being banned in reference to guns and such. By that logic I suppose we should legalize bombs? I for one just hope nobody was seriously hurt or worse. It isn't a joking situation.
NASA touts plan to grab asteroid as 'unprecedented technological feat'
Wed Apr 10, 2013
The value depends on the asteroid though. Scientists believe that some asteroids are loaded with gold and platinum. In some, possibly more than has been mined on earth in all of humanity. I could see big corporations funding missions for that kind of treasure hunt payday. a link from awhile back: ht …
Pill nation: Are we too reliant on prescription meds?
Wed Apr 10, 2013
There's also the problem that people that really need relief often get treated like addicts from people that don't understand what living in pain is like. There are many that abuse prescriptions, but people that don't abuse get stigmatized. I, for example keep fracturing my spine. Four times so far …

Mon Apr 8, 2013
These kinds of discussions always crack me up. I only use Facebook for a few games I like to play when relaxing, but I can't think of another free service that so many complain about. It's free, no one has to use it if they don't like it. Many do us it though since I checked the statistics ear …
FBI comes clean on top X-File: 'We never investigated' Hottel UFO memo
Wed Mar 27, 2013
I agree. Science estimates that there might be at least 100 billion galaxies. The odds that we're the only planet with intelligent life are probably too big to calculate. I would love to have proof in my lifetime, but I doubt it will happen. Of course if there were to come a time in the near future …
Ohio school shooter, wearing 'KILLER' T-shirt, sentenced to life in prison
Tue Mar 19, 2013
In some schools, students wait in the cafeteria for the bus. Especially when the main bus drops them off and then they go to another location from there. If memory serves me, he attended school at a different location that picked up everyone from the school where the shooting happened.
College freshman dies after backflip gone wrong
Tue Mar 5, 2013
Berekah, My condolences to you. I to have lost our only child at 14. Victim of an accidental rifle discharge by someone else. Only people that have had a loss like this can even BEGIN to understand the pain. It hurts to read comments like "things happen" or "Darwin award" about this kid because it m …
